Thank you for your interest in my alterations services! I am currently fully booked for summer weddings (May-September). Additionally, I will be on maternity leave starting in October of this year. Please note that the majority of my life is spent running after an adorable tiny human and making sure she grows into a kind and wonderful person. My name is Alexandra Klok
I am a mom, seamstress, educator, and artist based in Madison, WI. I started learning how to sew as a small child helping my mom make our Halloween costumes (anybody else choose to be a Candy cane for Halloween?). She gave me my own machine at 16 when she got tired of me stealing hers. From there I started working in fabric stores and later started teaching sewing lessons in 2013 when I moved to Madison. I have taught all ages from 6 to 96 and even some art exploration lessons for babies. I started doing bridal alterations full time several years ago and I love it.
My husband Colin and I started our biggest adventure in January of 2022 with the birth of our daughter, Eloise. I now see clients in the evenings and spend my days doing my best to help her grow into a kind and wonderful person. It is my favorite thing watching her grow and explore this crazy life with our two wonderful dogs, Calypso and Fergus, at her side.

Sewing Lessons
Private or small group
Private Lessons - $25 per hour
Small groups - $15/student per hour
Kids
Ages 6-12
Have a young one who is interested in sewing, but you have no idea where to start? This is a great option.
Teens
Ages 12-18
These are usually project based and dictated by level of experience.
Adults
Ages 18 and up
Lessons available in a variety of topics and can be project based or sewing machine basics.
