Sewing machine basics
Have a new or new-to-you sewing machine that you want to learn how to use? Have a machine that you need a refresher on? I have experience working with most home sewing machine brands and would love to help! These classes can be one-on-one or in a group and using your own machine and can take place in my studio or in your own home. This content may also be covered in project based classes depending on experience.
Project based lessons
The majority of these lessons are ongoing and can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or other schedule depending on availability. Students will choose a project which must be approved based on experience. If it is more complicated than I would recommend for student's skill level I will recommend an alternative that will help build to that goal.
For kid and teen group lessons, student's may choose to do the same project or completely different projects. Classes are limited to a maximum of 4 students to allow time for individual attention. For beginning sewers I recommend starting with basics
Materials needed
All students will need to bring whatever materials are required for their project, along with basic sewing supplies such as fabric scissors, pins, seam gauge, seam ripper, and thread. I recommend bringing your own machine so its easier to transfer information learned in class to home sewing.
